Music Spotlight: Melody Bober's Suite in Seasons

Suite in Season is a piece originally written for flute, bassoon, and piano or violin, cello, and piano. This piece was commissioned by the Music Teachers National Association(MTNA), and premiered in the 2012 MTNA conference. The piece was written to have four movements to represent the four seasons. Each season has its own feel and rhythm, with Autumn in a ballade style, Winter in a romance style, Spring in a jazz style, and Summer written in a Latin style.

Melody Bober graduated summa cum laude from the University of Illinois, with a bachelors in music education. She also got her masters in piano performance at Minnesota State University. She is well versed in piano, and used her knowledge and experience to write incredible piano pieces that showcase the performers love for music. With over 20 years of experience as a public school music teacher, many look up to her outstanding representation of incredible and thoughtful music.
