Spring Concerto Festival Registration Open

The ORS Orchestra in 2019

The Orchestral Recital Series of Tacoma presents the Spring Concerto Festival this June. Registration is now open. Due to the slight delay in opening the registration because of technical difficulties, registration will remain open until midnight on March 31.

ORS of Tacoma’s 29th Annual Spring Concerto Festival will occur June 2021, complying with continuing COVID-19 restrictions and guidelines. We are incredibly excited to present this opportunity, including new authorized repertoire listings for two piano performance and even more pieces tailored to beginning skill levels.

Students will be able to select from three options of performance according to their levels of comfort and interest, ranging from one collaborative pianist, string ensemble and conductor, to a string ensemble with conductor and collaborative pianist.

View full details on our website by clicking here, including the repertoire list, fee schedule, and other details. Concerts are planned for June 25, 26, and 27 with rehearsals beginning as early as June 16. Specific dates and times are subject to modification. While we hope to utilize our traditional performance venue Schneebeck Concert Hall, it may remain unavailable for public gatherings, in which case First Lutheran Church here in Tacoma will be our gracious host. Due to COVID-19 restrictions with venues, registrations will be limited to 75 performers.

This festival will also celebrate Paul Twedt’s 29 years as Founder and Music Director of ORS of Tacoma. Find out more about his service and love of ORS by clicking here. He will retire from his role in August at the end of the 2020-2021 season, so ensure that you join us in thanking Paul for his vision and care for ORS over the years!

We thank you for your continued support of ORS of Tacoma. We look forward to hearing your performances this spring and the celebration of our 29th anniversary! Be sure to catch up on everything we’ve been doing on our website, including videos of performances and ways that you can get involved to help support the inquisitive, passionate students who perform with ORS.
